New Experiences (Slice of Life)

What would it be like to never have changes in life? Imagine a life when we have to keep on doing the same things, day in and day out. We all need those changes. They can be of short duration or of long ones. Attending a music concert or going to the movies is like being in a different world. It is not possible for all to go to different places for their vacations. A lot of money is needed. Any change, of course, not the bad ones are welcome. New experiences enrich our lives.

Last week there was Literature Festival in the University Campus not far from our place. We attended many panel discussions involving literature, films, poetry and so on. They were an enriching experience. There was a panel discussion titled ‘Blindness in Literature’. We enjoyed these new experiences which took us to another world.

  1. First thought: Variety is the spice of life. Second thought: The “sameness” and monotony of the dystopian society in The Giver. This is post is a lovely celebration of freedoms that literature allows (Blindness in Literature is a very intriguing panel discussion!).
