These children are dressed as Yakshagana characters. The dresses are very colourful. Yakshagana is a folk art, a dance drama of our place. This photo is in the temple square in our town.

  3. Yesterday I bought all the seed packets to plant colorful annuals. Of course we can’t plant the seeds until June, but I love getting to look at them. Your flowers are lovely.

  4. Here in the Philippines, we call the first picture of flower Gumamela and the 2nd picture Suntan. How are they called in your country?

    1. In my language, Kannada, we call the first and the third as Dasavala. The second we call Kiskaara. The first flower is the original hibiscus, most of the others are hybrid varieties. The leaves and the flower have medicinal value.
