A Photo a Week Challenge: Motion

I love to see flowers and leaves falling slowly and gracefully from the tree and forming a carpet on the ground. The word for that movement is called abscission.

One evening we had gone for a walk. We parked our car under a tree which had beautiful yellow flowers. There are many of these trees in our town and they are blooming and look like a giant bouquet.

I watched the flowers falling and I kept clicking in my mobile. I have got two photos of the flowers falling.

  1. The tree with the golden flowers is very beautiful. It reminds me of one here called a Golden Chain tree.

  2. We have lime trees in England which can drop a syrupy substance on your car, and sometimes there is the misfortune of leaving your car under a tree frequented by pigeons. They don’t drop beautiful yellow flowers, that’s for sure!!

There are orange Gulmohar trees, they are also called May flower trees. They usually bloom in April, May.
